Squats are a great workout for your legs and butt. A squat can be done using solely your body weight, or with dumbells in your hands or a barbell across your shoulders.
Method:
- Stand with your feet hip-width apart.
- Brace the abs by sucking your belly button into your spine. Keep your knees behind your toes.
- Keep your back straight and slowly squat as if you are going to sit on a chair.
- Squeeze and slowly stand up.
- Repeat 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps.
Note: When performing a squat, keep your eyes looking straight ahead. Exhale on the way up. To increase intensity, add weights or try a one legged squat.
